-
Guests applying for an accommodation contract must provide the following information to the hotel:
- (1) Guest's name
- (2) Dates of stay and expected arrival time
- (3) Other information the hotel considers necessary
- If a guest requests to extend their stay beyond the dates specified under Paragraph 1, Item 2 during their stay, the request shall be treated as an application for a new accommodation contract at the time it is made.
- As a general rule, reservations must be made online or through the reservation center.
Article 3(Conclusion of an Accommodation Contract)
- An accommodation contract is concluded when the hotel accepts the application described in the preceding article. This does not apply if the hotel proves that it did not accept the application.
- Once an accommodation contract is concluded under the preceding paragraph, the guest must pay the deposit specified by the hotel as the basic accommodation charge for the stay, by the deadline specified by the hotel.
- The deposit is first applied to the accommodation charges ultimately payable by the guest. In circumstances governed by Articles 6 and 17, it is applied first to cancellation charges and then to compensation for damages; any remaining balance is refunded when charges are settled under Article 12.
- If the guest fails to pay the deposit required under Paragraph 2 by the deadline specified by the hotel, the accommodation contract becomes invalid. This applies only if, when setting the deadline, the hotel notified the guest of that consequence.
Article 4(Special Agreements Waiving the Deposit)
- Notwithstanding Article 3, Paragraph 2, the hotel may accept a special agreement that waives the deposit after the contract is concluded.
- If the hotel does not request payment of the deposit under Article 3, Paragraph 2 or does not specify a payment deadline when accepting an application, it shall be deemed to have accepted the special agreement described in the preceding paragraph.
Article 5(Refusal to Conclude an Accommodation Contract)
- The hotel may refuse to conclude an accommodation contract in the following cases:
- (1) The application does not comply with these terms.
- (2) No rooms are available because the hotel is fully booked.
- (3) The prospective guest is considered likely to engage in conduct that violates laws, public order or public morals during their stay.
- (4) The prospective guest is considered to fall into any of the following categories:

- (b) A corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an organized crime group or its members.
- (c) A corporation whose officers include a member of an organized crime group.
- (5) The prospective guest has behaved in a way that causes significant disturbance to other guests.
- (6) The prospective guest is clearly recognized as having an infectious disease.
- (7) Violent demands are made regarding accommodation, or the hotel is asked to assume an unreasonable burden.
- (8) Accommodation cannot be provided because of a natural disaster, a facility malfunction or another unavoidable circumstance.
- (9) The prospective guest uses abusive language or violence, or engages in conduct beyond reasonable bounds, toward the hotel or its staff.
Article 6(Guest's Right to Cancel)
- Guests may cancel their accommodation contract by notifying the hotel.
- If a guest cancels all or part of their accommodation contract for reasons attributable to the guest (except where the hotel requested a deposit with a payment deadline under Article 3, Paragraph 2 and the guest cancels before payment), the hotel shall charge cancellation fees as listed in Appendix 1. Where the hotel has accepted a special agreement under Article 4, Paragraph 1, this applies only if the hotel informed the guest of the obligation to pay cancellation charges when accepting the agreement.
- If a guest does not arrive by midnight on the arrival date without notifying the hotel (or within one hour after a previously stated arrival time), the hotel may deem the accommodation contract to have been canceled by the guest.
